Environment guide
"The Mediterranean is a thousand things together. Not just a landscape but innumerable landscapes. Not a sea but a succession of seas. Not one civilization but a series of civilizations stacked on each other." These words of Fernand Braudel describe very well the extraordinary cultural, natural and environmental heritage of this geographical area where great populations have been living for centuries and growing in a habitat that is one of the most ancient and diversified in the world. The sea water temperature rising , the pollution by factories and ships, the preservation of biodiversity and the conservation of wildlife are some of the hardest challenges that Europe and the regions of the Mediterranean area have to face to defend its immense treasures on the coast and in the sea.
