MEDISS/To reinforce the innovation capacities of savors and scents network on the Mediterranean territory
DESCRIPTION:
The MEDISS project aims at building an international network to promote the development of an innovative Mediterranean Scents and Flavours sector based on the principles of sustainable development. Considering its common characteristics on a MED area scale, the sector could benefit fully and rapidly from the networking of stakeholders, transfer of know-how and technical and scientific skills.
OBJECTIVES:
This project will be a means of capitalizing on the strong values of the sector in the Mediterranean area (naturality, authenticity, identity) in order to encourage a dynamic development process throughout the productive chain. This development also depends both on an endogenousdevelopment using the best valorisation of local productions and know-how and enexogenous development using the transfer of know-how and skills from one sector to another (from scents to flavours and vice-versa) and from one territory to another. The actions led in the framework of the MEDISS will bear on both these aspects. Throughjoint operational efforts between the partners, the knowledge of the sector will be shared, the emergence and assistance of innovative projects will be encouraged and the mutualisation of tools and means for reinforcing innovation skills of businesses and stakeholders will be considered.
