Medgovernance project

Medgovernance is a European territorial cooperation project. Its objective is to carry out common regional policies at Mediterranean level in the following key sectors of development: 

    * Innovation
    * Environment
    * Transport
    * Migration and Culture

Medgovernance comprises six regions of France, Italy and Spain, and high level research institutes charged by regional authorities to provide a scientific and technical foundation to common orientations. The purpose of the project is to be an instrument for policy makers in order to support the institutional building of a macro-region in the Western Mediterranean area (Medocc) with common policies in key sectors as starting point.

The objectives of the Project are:

Paving the way for a renewed inter-regional governance model at an inter-Mediterranean level through:

• The building of a Euro-Mediterranean inter-regional and multi-level governance model,
• The promotion of a common national and regional vision on main Mediterranean key-themes

Creating a space of information, debate and confrontation through:

• Promoting the transfer, in the Mediterranean Area, of relevant governance experiences of other areas;
• Establishing a permanent political and communicative event of confrontation at Mediterranean global level;
• Creating a 2.0 interactive web portal on governance systems in the Med Area.
