Salone del Gusto: Food Fair 21.Oct.2010 To 25.Oct.2010, Turin, Italy

The Directorate-General for Agriculture and rural Development of the European Commision will be present for the first time at the Salone del Gusto from 21 to 25 October in Turin, Italy. Commissioner Dacian Cioloş in charge of Agriculture and Rural Development is going to inagurate the fair.

The Salone del Gusto is an international event and represents a key date in the calendar of everyone around the world who cares deeply about food. The Salone del Gusto and its parallel event, Terra Madre, - the food communities network, which brings together those players in the food chain who together support sustainable agriculture, fishing, and breeding with the goal of preserving taste and biodiversity - are closely interlinked and provide a place where farmers and artisan producers, academics and chefs, wine connoisseurs and novice food lovers can come together to exchange knowledge and experiences.
